About us
A training hub built around the live gallery
observero brings together broadcasters, engineers and educators who believe live television should feel calm on screen because it was prepared with care off screen.

Our story
From a single gallery to a national hub
We began as a small group of studio engineers and directors who kept getting the same question from new colleagues: how do we make all of this work together on the day?
Today we run practical programmes for news teams, independent producers, universities and corporate studios across the United Kingdom, covering studio equipment integration, dynamic camera techniques, acoustic optimisation and lighting.
Our approach has not changed: small groups, working equipment and honest feedback from people who still work in live television.
What we believe
Principles behind every course
Learn by broadcasting
Every concept is tested on the studio floor with real cameras, real talkback and a real clock counting down to transmission.
Reliability first
Backup paths, fault drills and clear communication are taught as core skills, not extras, because live television has no second take.
Kit-agnostic thinking
Equipment changes every year. We teach signal flow, light, sound and timing so your skills carry across any gallery.
Our facilities
A studio that behaves like the real thing
- Three-camera news and magazine studio
- Interview set with flexible lighting grid
- Treated sound booth and voice-over room
- Fully equipped production gallery with talkback
